Every au pair in Virginia must complete 6 academic credits at an accredited U.S. institution during their program year, giving them the chance to study and experience the American educational system. Host families are required to contribute up to $500 toward this requirement. If an au pair extends for an additional 6, 9, or 12 months, they must complete additional credits.
Whether your au pair decides to improve their English, continue classes in their area of study, or explore a new subject, these opportunities make the Cultural Care au pair Virgina experience even more enriching. And thanks to the state’s rich education system, au pairs in Virginia participants have access to community colleges, universities, and language courses—many of which offer flexible class formats and budget-friendly options.
