Cultural Care Au Pair is a trusted cultural exchange program with close to 20 years of experience. Our commitment to quality recruitment and customer service has attracted many local childcare coordinators to join our team of part-time independent contractors and bring this amazing experience to even more host families and communities across the U.S. As the local face of our organization, you can trust that Cultural Care Au Pair will provide you with the resources and support you need to be successful in your role and in your ability to provide quality customer service to our au pairs and host families.
Community successSuccessful au pair placements rely greatly on the strength of our dedicated field staff. Today, there are more than 600 local childcare coordinators (LCCs) in 37 states. Some of our LCCs are stay-at-home parents or empty nesters who welcome the chance to work at a part-time position that they can manage from a home office. We also have current or previous host parents, former au pairs and individuals who have lived or worked abroad. Through their roles, our local childcare coordinators form strong and rewarding bonds with other Cultural Care staff, as well as with host families, au pairs and other members of their communities.
A quality programEvery Cultural Care au pair participates in a careful screening and selection process overseen by experienced staff in their home country. Only 30 percent of applicants are accepted into the program. Working with the best au pairs in the industry gives you added peace of mind.
Before departure, Cultural Care au pairs complete an independent study unit on childcare. After arrival in the U.S., au pairs attend our intensive four-day training program, concentrating on child development and safety. Training continues throughout the year as au pairs participate in our unique Continuing Education Program (CEP)—developed in partnership with the National Safe Kids Campaign—during which au pairs receive additional instruction in children’s safety and injury prevention.
A dedicated support teamLCCs are part of an international support network. They work closely with their Program Director and Regional Development Director. For guidance, support, idea sharing and more, there is always someone for an LCC to consult.
