Responsibilities § Cultural Care Au Pair

Your Cultural Care au pair will:

Provide flexible in-home care and personalized child supervision.

Arrange weekly working hours to suit your family’s scheduling needs.

Assist you with light household duties such as preparing your children’s meals and helping them keep their rooms neat.

Oversee and enrich your children’s playtime with international games, stories, and activities.

Supervise your older children during their after school hours and summer breaks and drive children to school, activities, and appointments.

Expose your family to another language and culture and teach your children international customs and traditions.

Au pairs provide childcare for up to 10 hours a day and up to 45 hours per week. Au pairs receive two weeks of paid vacation during their year as well as a consecutive day and a half off each week and one full weekend off each month. Au pairs who are 19 years old or older and who have at least 200 hours of experience with a child under the age of two are able to care for children under the age of two, however, au pairs cannot be the left alone as the sole caregiver for an infant under the age of three months, in accordance with the U.S. Department of State regulations.
