Madlen Doehler, German au pair
Madlen is a 19-year-old from Germany. She is living with a family in Massachusetts and is taking care of two children, ages 6 and 3. She enjoys outdoor activities, swimming and music.
“When I first arrived to my host family, they made me feel welcome by giving me some small presents and helping me set up my new room so I could feel at home. They have made me feel like part of the family. They tell me how much they appreciate that I take such good care of the kids.”
Why did you choose Cultural Care Au Pair?
I love working with children. I have experience baby-sitting and received practical training in a kindergarten. I wanted to meet new people and live with an American family and see what it’s like to live in another country. I am going to stay with my family for a second year because I like it here so much!
What has been your favorite memory of your last year with Cultural Care Au Pair?
I like caring for my children. I like making them feel good about things and doing fun activities with them.
